LittleBigPlanet rumblings (and a SoM update)

Way back when I was a kid in elementary school, I was a doodler. Still am actually. What I would doodle were these intricate mazes…they had tunnels and spikes all around it, with a start and the finish. I’d write down on the piece of paper how many lives you had, maybe add some 1ups on the page, then I’d give the piece of paper to someone and stand behind them. You had to be precise and draw a line from start to finish…without hitting the spikes or walls.

ShellBlast now available on GamersGate; it’s crunch time!

Yet another quick update and some news. First off, I’m proud to announce our new partnership with GamersGate.com, a site that’s gaining popularity with such exclusives as Bionic Commando: Rearmed. Our first commercial game (ShellBlast) is now available at the site, with Spirits of Metropolis to follow soon.

You also may have noticed that the site runs a bit faster; it’s now running on clustered servers, providing faster loads and minimal downtime. Woo!

And one last thing…I’m going to go into crunch time right now with Spirits of Metropolis, so there might not be quite as many blog posts in general until the game is released. I have nearly completed the levels of Spirits; once that’s done its on to the editor and menus, and bam. Done. Once the game is closer to release I’ll reveal the final new modes and a bit of a neat surprise that I hope helps in Spirit’s success.

The goal is to get a private beta of the full game out by September 29th. Alright, it’s crunch time. Let’s do it!

ShellBlast v1.31 Now Available…

Just a quick post on an updated portion of ShellBlast. I’m prepping the game to be released yet again to some publishers, and I’ve equalized the music in this version so that it’s not so dang loud. The original version’s music was almost +9 decibels louder than it should have been, so it’s been corrected to make this version 1.31 (same goes for the demo). Anyone who owns the full version can grab the updated music here…just swap out the folders for the new ones:

Updated ShellBlast Music Pack (14.3MB)

Cya later this week with some more Spirits of Metropolis updates! Woo!
