greenTech: Special Edition coming soon
As I await the results of the GM Competition, I thought I’d pass along some info on the Special Edition of greenTech I’ve got cooking.
Before I say anymore, don’t worry, this new edition of greenTech is absolutely free and will be available on Instant Play on YoYo Games and here on vertigogaming.net as a zip file or installer. Basically this new version includes a few things that I wasn’t able to get into the game before the deadline.
One of the bigger additions is unlockable monitors. In the current edition of greenTech, beating a level without a perfect score results in a little checkmark…but nothing more. This new version allows you to unlock new kinds of monitors with each level beaten (not perfectly, just beaten) resulting in new color screens, and even some monitors that are dust free and faster-refresh/linescan free. There will be 16 screens to unlock in total. Here’s an early look at some monitors:
Among other smaller changes include the option to default to window/fullscreen options (the game will now default to fullscreen automatically, but only in the vertigogaming.net downloadable version), some extra music, and a few extra touchups here and there. It will be available within two weeks of the competition results being available, which I expect any day now. Woo!
Awesome…I can’t wait to play it. The first one was great…I didn’t even think any major improvement would be possible.
Awesome, can’t wait for it! Can we use the save file from the earlier GreenTech?
If you downloaded the game from YoYo Games, then you can indeed use the same save file. It will automatically unlock items you have earned.
You’ll have to stop outdoing yourself eventually chubs.
Sounds brilliant.
I hope it is indeed.
Basically I had a choice of how I did things before and how I can do things now. More relaxed features= easier time patching games= fun for all. 😀
Wow looks really awesome.
Fancy!
So Chubs makes a completely awesome game in under a week, and then somehow manages to make it even better. Applause. And I can’t wait to play the upgraded version.
congratulation chubs
green… is a good game and new monitors can make it more fun
i think a system for making new monitors by users can make it even more fun
something like a script file that can be executed as a monitor
by it’s hard to do (i know)
and also congratulation for XBOX 360 version of shellblast
