New game being worked on.
-It’s a sequel to one of my previous games.
-It will come out late March/early April if all things go well
-It will be a commercial game retailing for $8-12 (not sure yet, but it wont be over $12)
-It’s for PC only.
-It will have an original soundtrack with some awesome art.
-It will take place in a single room.
-This will be the last thing you will hear about this game until the art, music, and some of the game is finished, thus ensuring that it will indeed come out. Back in the old days, I’d just tell you what the game was and maybe show you some concept art. That has burned me in the past (Liquisity 2, Sandbox of God 2), so I won’t be doing that this time around. It’ll be more like greenTech in the way it’ll be announced (announcement, then a few days later a trailer, then some screens, and a beta). Till then, you won’t be hearing about this game for another month at least.
-Oh, and it’s not Sandbox of God 2. Not yet anyways.
If this isn’t what I think it is, then you’ve done an excellent job of misleading me, Chubs.
Oh, right! It’s not ONR3. I said that was our next commercial game pending the money to back it up, and right now I don’t have that money. So I hope this game will be more successful.
It’s Shellblast 2. Duh.
WHAT
NOT ONR3
>:(
Though your reason is valid. 😛
It’s stuff like this that makes me hate you and love you at the same time.
Ok! Lets go through this.
>It’s a sequel to one of my previous games.
ONR3/HC3/SOG2/Liquisity 2/Shellblast 2/greenTech 2/Winter Solstice
>It will come out late March/early April if all things go well
HC3/SOG2/Liquisity 2/Shellblast 2/greenTech 2/Winter Solstice
>It will have an original soundtrack with some awesome art.
Amanda Redmond is doing the art…better go mug here.
>It will take place in a single room.
Technically you could do this for every game…but;
SOG2…
>Oh, and it’s not Sandbox of God 2. Not yet anyways.
That leaves me with…nothing! Great stuff.
It’s not NE2, is it?
Interesting, can’t wait for this one to come out :), although I can’t figure out what it could possibly be…
It’s not Winter Solstice is it? Well whatever it is it will be great… I hope lol jk, of course it will.
Hmm…could it possibly be Prisms of Light 3? Or how about a new SUV game? Maybe even the final Atlantis game (which I never actually played the series)?
Previous games, not including SoG or ONR:
– Nocturnal Emission
– Walmart SUV Challenge
– Atlantis
– Helicopter Cacophony
– Ac!dbomb/Shellblast
– Vivid Conceptions
– Liquisity
– Prisms of Light
– GreenTech
– Winter Solstice
– Spirits of Metropolis
Did I miss any out?
The “Takes place in a single room” doesn’t have to necessarily mean Game Maker’s rooms. I plan on having plenty of those in the game. 🙂
In that case, I would have thought most of your previous games were off the table, because they don’t really occur in rooms, as such, more outdoor spaces or vague fantasy worlds.
Which leaves me with Winter Solstice, which did occur on one stage, I think.
You guys are ignoring the possibility that he’s lying to us.
>You guys are ignoring the possibility that he’s lying to us.
Yep, I’m getting ready for chubs to jump out and say “Surprise! I’m not making a game at all! Haha”
Or he could be working on a new game. Who knows, we will just have to wait and see.
It’s the Wal-Mart SUV Parking Lot Challenge isn’t it?
…no.
There are thousands of Wal-Marts.
NE2 would be a bit ridiculous considering Chub’s current Calibre, but an anniversary edition, somewhat tidied up and with a new name wouldn’t be out of the picture.
Too vague. I guess wait until he tells us. Good luck, chubs.
8 year anniversary’s don’t gel well with anything.
Prism’s of light – it can’t be anything else. Fits in with the casual puzzle genre that’s sweeping the world, easy to design levels for, could be a huge improvement over the last one (mouse support), worthy of retail.
Maybe this whole “not telling you so no hypeage” thing was a backfire :p
Hah, ah well.
