Beta 0.91 complete; truckin’ on to the final release!
Well, beta 0.91 of Spirits of Metropolis went very well. I’ve got a lot of work ahead of me, but the hard part is basically over.
Lots of bugs were found, which I expected. Some things were unexpected, such as a real dislike for the Shifter mode in the game. I actually felt the same way about the mode…so much so that I had put it as optional levels for the most part in Journey mode…but it wasn’t enough. So, I’m taking that mode out and replacing it with a mode I call “Drop.” I’m not ready to say too much about it, but here’s a screen:
So, the blog will be relatively quiet until I can get .98 out to the testers, and then I’ll start building the promotional materials and outline my sales plan. Woo!

Also: Forums asploded again.
This has probably been suggested already but…. have you thought about releasing your future commercial games on STEAM? The SteamWorks API is very flexable and I’m sure your games would be an “AudioSurf”-like instant hit.

Lookin’ Good! Just remember with marketing and sales. Finishing the game is only half the work.
