Liquisity 2- More Screenshots
Amazing what a few more days of work can do. Below are two new screens from Liquisity 2, and two old screens that show just how far we’ve come from the beta just a week ago.
I think it’s an improvement, no? I’m really excited to see where this goes!
Not much work has been done on level building, but rather getting Liquisity graphically updated and the new objects placed in. Currently I’m almost done graphic wise and have a new ball implemented (magnet ball), and I hope to start building the levels by the end of the month. I don’t want to commit to a release date, because…well, you know why. 🙂 But, hopefully this post shows that I am indeed getting on top of it! Woo!
So I leave you with a question: what do you absolutely want to see most in Liquisity? What do you want the least to return?
I want the engine to be glitch free! Seriously, there were some major glitches in Liquisity such as the selzer ball going nuts, various balls getting stuck, etc.
An improved level editor would be cool, and more backgrounds.
Also, NOT a fixed resolution. Just make it go into full screen with a big black boarder around it, it looks fine.
As for graphics, I don’t really like that green, orange, red and blue plants. They just look so out of place and don’t fit at all with the colour palette.
0therwise, looking great!

The plants are kind of weird looking.
Anyway, I didn’t like how some of the backgrounds got brighter/darker. If you took too long, it became impossible to do because you couldn’t see anything. If you do, make sure that you will always be able to see the objects.
I like how it shapes up 🙂
Oh and please get rid of those impossible levels that I never managed to beat :P. And while you’re at it, get rid of those spam comments by that WoW guy.
Looking good!
The levels werent impossible, it was just due to the very random physics engine that made some impossible at times.
Yeah, the plant colors are a bit off. But it is a great improvement. I don’t like the light beams in the second old screenshot, glad that’s gone.
Allow bigger levels (i.e., make objects smaller).
Make the resolution changing actually work.
Allow more bubble jets.
Make the options save to a file, instead of having to change them every time when they have only a negligible effect anyway.
Allow the player to select individual levels (after beating them, obviously) in the main game.
Make the goals look a little better.
Make the spinner physics more accurate.
That’s about it.
I have implemented some changes (including plants) and will update soon. 🙂
