Regrouping.
After losing the indiePub competition, I went head on into my new part time job and kind of took a break from game making.
It was nice, not really having to worry so much about my current game. It’s nice having a dependable check instead of worrying about sales every day. I bought the Playstation Move and had some chums over to play some Sports Champions, which is really awesome. Reminds me of these women jackets that I love to use when I’m outdoors. But man, I do miss the game grind. And I’ve got to get back into it before I float away into my long sabbaticals that serve no other purpose than me being lazy. So, I bought a stylus and started drawing some food.
I decided to try my hand at redrawing some Ore no Ryomi sprites that I did back in 2004. The results are actually a bit better than I expected! Here’s a few, old and new side by side:
It’s not anything amazing like the works of Sara, but it doesn’t look too shabby eh? Maybe I should do something with these. 🙂
Anyways, The Sandbox of God is now available at Gamersgate for your buying pleasure. I’m negotiating with a publisher to bring the Oil Blue to more outlets/distributors, which is going well. I’ll have a Kickstarter update soon for those backing Liquisity 2, and while posts will be a bit light these next two weeks I’m very much involved in all kinds of game related shenanigans that I’ll share with yall soon. Till then, thanks for reading!

Oh please do make another Ore No Ryomi. Pleeeeeeeeeeease. 🙂
Aww, man – I’m working on a restaurant game. It works completely differently, but if you do release a new ONR then everyone’ll think I copied ._.
Ore No Ryomi – Iron Chef Edition! Make it so, Number 1!
I really like the steak. At first glance I actually mistaken it for a photo.
Good luck with it, my friend! I know all too well how the draw of a passion such as yours longs to be returned to. I’m sure it will go very well!
Thanks everyone! I appreciate all the comments. 😀
The pizza and steak look great! If you don’t want to use them, I bet Sara could use them as a basis to digitally retouch them.
BTW, Ore No Ryomi sounds like a great next project. Good luck!
