indiePub Competition Results

Yes, I have here the results of the indiePub Competition. Did Vertigo Games make the cut?

Nope! Turns out six other games did instead. You can view the list right here.

I knew once I played DUSTFORCE that it would place highly in the competition. The others are fun, charming and solid. A few are questionable, but none are games that I can feel bad losing to. Losing comes very natural to me really, so I’m able to handle it ok. 🙂

I knew going into the competition that it would be a tough, tough road ahead. indiePub’s competition was always looking for that unfinished game that just needs a bit of nurturing and a wad of cash to make it really shine with a slick publishing deal. I knew I couldn’t win with the Oil Blue since it was already finished so it would be Liquisity 2 or bust. I want to thank Sara Gross for giving it her all as we crunched the days to accomplish the very difficult task of having a polished product in just a few weeks. And then having to throw that entire game away based on beta feedback and rebuilding the game just a few days before the deadline. Man, that was intense.

I’ll be entering the Oil Blue and Liquisity 2 in a few more competitions later this year, so watch for news on that soon. I’ll also be revealing a new game next month, finishing Liquisity 2 for release this year, as well as pursuing some opportunities to get the Oil Blue to be published more widespread. Thanks everyone for all your votes and support!

  1. Ah, that stinks. 🙁

I’m still impressed of how amazing you managed to get Liquisity 2 in such a short period of time, though.

  2. Yeah, I agree with Lost. Must’ve been tough with 3 to go, well done.
