Randomness #01A: Games Edition
Even more updates incoming, including an update for everyone who’s purchased any of our games from the Vertigo Games store, as well as our monthly contest. Here’s the breakdown:
-I’ve extended the expiration date for downloads via BMT Micro. Normally when you purchase a game from the VG Store, you get 31 days to download the game. Now, you have an unlimited amount of time…no expiration whatsoever! Woo!
-Liquisity 2 seems to be doing well in the competition, though there’s really no way to tell. So, head on over to this blog post for more info if you haven’t heard about the game already.
-Gamezebo did an interview with yours truely on the Oil Blue, and some thoughts post release. Check it out here.
-Earthworm Jim came out for the 360/PS3 download services, and I whipped up a review over at PSNStores.com. How awesome is it? So awesome.
-This month’s contest will be done via Twitter once again. So come on over and follow me to win a copy of Spirits of Metropolis. Woo! A winner will be picked on the 31st.
-Also keep in mind that the Oil Blue Summer Promo will be over at the end of this month, so you don’t have much time to buy the game at the Vertigo Games Store and receive a spankin’ new copy of greenTech+ absolutely free. Buy buy buy!
Stay tuned for some new wallpapers this month and lots more news and updates. Till then, check out the indiePub competition and play the games to see what we’re going up against. Woo!

I don’t suppose you intend to release an Oil Blue+GreenTech+Sandbox of God: Remastered combo pack? I would absolutely buy that.
I’m not very interested in Spirits of Metropolis or ShellBlast so the current combo pack doesn’t really do it for me.
I would never pirate an indie game, so I’m waiting for the price to be right on the games I am interested in. So I’m just curious about your future pricing/combo packs.
I do have something in mind once the current greenTech/Oil Blue promo ends, but it’s not quite what you’re looking for…but having a new combo like that would be a good idea. Still, any combo that I put together in the immediate future won’t be quite as good a deal as just buying the Oil Blue/greenTech combo and then SOG:Remastered, if those are the three games you’re wanting. 🙂
Did you miss me?
I forgot totally about this site… all because the blog updates which come in the mail don’t come to me anymore… And I don’t know why.
I didn’t change any settings. 😯
oh well… have a great summer!(I assume you live in america… even though i’m in australia[and it’s freezing])
I really admire your courage in allowing unlimited download time. Most people aren’t willing to do that, and it sure makes life easier for the consumer when they end up changing computers.
That is pretty cool of you to allow unlimited time to download. 8)
I was actually hoping for a OilBlue/Liquisity2/SOG:R combo pack. I bet if you released that, you would have a bomb moneymaker 😆 . I would definitely buy it, at least. I haven’t ever bought anything from the VG Store, but soon I’ll have some spare $$$ and I plan on buying a couple games. Just food for thought.
I didn’t know you were thinking about a sequel to The Oil Blue, but I think it’s actually an incredibly good idea. After reading that interview on the Oil Blue, I thought, right about as the 21st century progresses, there’s a lot of hype on saving the world and the environment and stuff (which was obviously the theme of Greentech). I know The Oil Blue is set in the future, but you could amplify this by making it an objective to research technology that would be pro-environment. For instance, while there are 4 different types of drilling in TOB, you could make more futurey drilling types that would help rather than hurt the environment. It could be a more subtle approach to the cash-in-on-oil-crisis idea.
Hope Liquisity 2 wins!
