Liquisity

Influenced by great games such as Jumper and Thrust, Liquisity is an underwater platformer, only it's not. Shoot the ball into the box to complete the level. Use tools such as jets, bouncers, and switches to make your job easier. There are multiple solutions for each level, so keep trying if you can't seem to get it the first time!

"This addictive puzzle game costs nothing and offers quite a few features, but its design scheme may cause eyestrain. As you might guess from its name, Liquisity has something to do with water. In this case you must fire a ball through an underwater course in such a way that it lands in the basket. The speed of your ball depends on how hard you hit the space bar, and you can use the arrow keys to nudge it in the right direction. The tutorial teaches you how to take advantage of various obstacles, such as water jets and spinners."

"We enjoyed the soundtrack music, which reminds us of something from a sci-fi film, but we had a tough time evaluating the graphics. This is because the default color scheme is full of dark blues, blacks, and purples. In fact, it's difficult to see the courses in most instances. Although you won't find a feature for changing screen brightness, you can turn background flashes on or off, disable the music and sound effects, enable skinned balls, and play in windowed mode. The level editor is an unexpected, but welcome addition. Anyone who is looking to test their aim and doesn't want to pay for the privlege should consider Liquisity."
