The Classic Games

Way back in 2002-2005, we made games that weren't exactly polished, but I'd like to think somewhat fun and original back in the day. Seeing them now is a bit hard to do with the snazzy graphics that rule the industry nowadays, but regardless we're still proud of them. Well, except for Nocturnal Emission. That game was crap.

So, enjoy the classics!

The Wal-Mart SUV Parking Lot Challenge!

This 20-level game puts you in the drivers seat of an SUV, with a time limit to find the handicap space. Can you do it without running over people? How about not hitting other cars? It's harder than it sounds...

It even has a multiplayer mode, with split screen action. Give it a try for some old school fun, and remember: Back in the Game Maker 3 days, this was the premiere game.

Make sure to check out the less-impressive SUV 2 as well.

A quick aside...this game was the one that got really popular back in the day and helped me to get better known in the GM community...shortly thereafter the GM Community was founded by a group of us but was ultimately taken down. SUV 2 bombed as well, and lessons were learned the tough way...

NOTE: There is a font in the directory of which you install the game. Put the JAEC font in your FONTS folder.

Ore No Ryomi

Welcome to the first Cooking/ Restaurant simulator ever made with Game Maker! Based on the original game for Playstation One in Japan, Ore no Ryori challenges the player to cook orders for customers while running the buisness at the same time! After the day is over, you can even buy new items for your restaurant.

But beware...your restaurant is in trememdous debt, and if you can't pull yourself out of the red before the deadline, your eatery will go under!

Check out everything you can do in this game:

-Prepare beers, soups, steaks, sandwiches, nachos and pizzas for customers, with different orders for each item.
-Keep up with the safety ordinance law by doing dishes, disposing waste, answering phones, checking the mail, reading the news, repairing equipment, catching robbers and more!
-Buy new items for your restaurant such as a tip jar, TV, candy display, buffet and more!
-Make your customers happy by producing perfect orders, or even average orders (but try not to do a bad order!)
-Many reviews and comments suggest this game to be original, addictive and fun!

Explodin' Crapola: Helicopter Cacophony 2

Yeah! This is one explosive game. The game features so many improvements over the original... here's just a few of the features crammed into this game:

-New weapons system includes Structual and Enemy weapons (bombs, missles and guns)& sniper gun!
-New MP3 soundtracks give the game an added action flavor MIDI just can't produce
-Voice-over work for that extra feel of action
-Much improved graphics, all designed & created by Him, an excellent graphic artist
-More objectives & levels, with more unlockables
-New camera system...the most advanced used in Game Maker yet
-Better "debree engine" makes those buildings explode 1000 times better
-Game is under 4 megs!

This is my first joint project, and I couldn't have done it without Him (he made the logo for the game also). This is, truely, a Him and Mr.Chubigans Work of Art.

NOTE: This game uses MP3 for all its music and voice. You can get mp3 support by upgrading your media player. See the troubleshooting guide for details.

Prisms of Light 1

Prisms of Light has been vastly trumpled by the superior Prisms of Light 2 in my opinion, but for those interested, here it is anyways.

Prisms of Light 1 includes:

-Over 35 levels
-Unlockable extras
-Tutorial feature

There are multiple versions of this game floating around the web...this is due to us selling the game to another company early in our lifespan. They put adware in the installer and even attempted to sell the game, but these files on this site are completely ad-free.

Nocturnal Emmision

Well...this requires some explanation.

You see, back in the Game Maker 3 days, there weren't a whole lot of people around. So, in turn, not a whole lot of competition. And not a whole lot of great games. So I set out to make my dream game: a platformer. It was my first GM game. So I set out on a story, and came up with the idea of a fish accused of assassinating the president, and running from the law.

Uh...yeah. But wait, it gets better.

So after knowing what it was about, I set out on searching the entire web for images. Almost none of the images in this game are made by me. The only thing I really made was the bullets that fired from the guns (and even that looked bad). Well, I paid no attention to the Chubigans Law #35, which states that "Any game over 5 megs doesn't get downloaded often. Any game over 10 megs is dead."

My game was 12 megs. Yes.

And, believe it or not, I was REALLY focused on selling it. In the version below, you'll see ads on how to buy the game, etc.

But I never got that far. I sent it to Mark Overmars for his consideration to place on his website. His response? I still remember it today.

"Your game does a lot of things, but none of them very well. Sorry."

Well, I was crushed. I had no idea the game was so bad. I thought it was the best game ever. So there ya go.

Truth is, I am proud of some things in this game. The Spyhunter levels are fun. The underwater "Pitch Black" level was so good (in concept), I want to remake it for another game. And the voice done by my friend was priceless. (One scene about the disgruntled postal workers is great.)

So, to all the Game Makers out there just starting: You may not succeed at first, but you will eventually. Just try this game to see what I mean.
